Creative fun, all year long!
The Worcester Art Museum Studio Art Program has a long history of introducing children of all ages to the world of art. Our young students explore the Museum, try new materials, and benefit from working with professional artists and educators. As they build their skills, they gain a sense of confidence and a deeper appreciation for art. All youth, not just those with perceived talent, benefit from our Programs. Class materials are provided.

A New Summer Youth Program!
WAM has shaken things up, with a new summer schedule and interdisciplinary offerings mixed in with our classic high-quality arts classes! Registration is now easier than before, and longer class hours better fit family schedules. You can read a bit more about these changes below and the individual components of each program can be found within the descriptions.
For 5-13 year old Classes:
Morning Programs for students 5-13 years will be held from 9am-12:30, with drop-off starting at 8:45. You can see a sample schedule below, but the morning program will include; a short group activity, a one-hour morning class that will be either an art or interdisciplinary class depending on the program you choose, a snack break, and an art class. Students can be picked up at 12:30 or can continue on into the afternoon.
If you are registered for a morning program, you may choose to add the Afternoon Program which runs from 12:30-3PM to have your child in a full-day program. If registered for an afternoon program, your child will go from the morning program into a half-hour lunch break, and then their afternoon art class. If this is the end of your child’s day, then you will pick them up in the lobby at 3PM. A difference from prior years is that students cannot register for an afternoon program without being registered for the morning program.
We have kept the afternoon Extended Day option, which runs from 3-5:30PM for anyone who would need to pick up their child after 3PM.
