A New Summer Program!
WAM has shaken things up, with a new summer schedule and interdisciplinary offerings mixed in with our classic high-quality arts classes! Registration is now easier than before, and longer class hours better fit family schedules. You can read a bit more about these changes below and the individual components of each program can be found within the descriptions.
For Teen 14-17 year old Classes: Teen Art Academy
Each week from 9-10AM before class we are offering the opportunity to register for Drawing in the Galleries, where students will work from the Museum collection and learn critical skills in observational drawing as well as get to experience some great artistic warm-ups. In order to register for Drawing in the Galleries the student must be registered into a teen class for the week.
One or two classes are offered for the first five weeks of class from 10AM-3PM. These classes’ details can be found in their descriptions. The classes are designed as artist intensives, with students learning about and how to work in their chosen subjects or media in both the morning and afternoon. The classes will take a break for lunch mid-day.
During our last week of classes, we have some special offerings. Please see the individual classes for details.
There is no extended day program offered for teen students, but they are welcome to wait in the lobby or visitor lounge for pick-up.
